Services for Employees

Sean P. Bawden is an Ottawa, Ontario employment lawyer and wrongful dismissal lawyer practicing with Kelly Santini LLP. He has also been a part-time professor at Algonquin College teaching Trial Advocacy for Paralegals and Small Claims Court Practice.

The employment lawyers for employees at Ottawa's Kelly Santini LLP provide the following employment law services to workers in the Province of Ontario:

Been Fired?

If you have recently been fired and want to know if the severance package being offered to you is sufficient, then we would happily review the package and provide you with an opinion. (Not sure where to start? Have a look at What is Wrongful Dismissal?)

If you know that the severance package being offered to you is insufficient or if it is our opinion that the package being offered is not enough, we can help you attempt to get more.

We can send a demand letter to your former employer demanding a better severance package. If you do not want to go the demand letter route, or if your former employer does not respond to your liking, then we can help you sue them for wrongful dismissal.

Want to Quit?

If you want to quit your current job and want to ensure that your resignation letter will not get you, or your new employer, in trouble, we can draft an appropriate letter for you.

If you want to quit your job because you feel you have no other choice, we can assist you with that as well.

Have a Non-Competition Agreement?

If you want a legal opinion on a non-competition or non-solicitation agreement, then we would be happy to review the agreement and provide you an opinion on the likelihood that a court would enforce it against you.

Been a Victim of Workplace Harassment?

If you believe that you may be a victim of workplace harassment, we would be happy to meet with you, to review your situation, and provide you with a legal opinion on your options. Where appropriate, we can assist you with making the appropriate complaints, or starting the appropriate lawsuits.

Long-Term Disability Dispute?

If you are having problems with your short-term disability or long-term disability benefits providers, we can assist you with those problems.
